AVDA (Aid to Victims of Domestic Violence) A Community of Hope is an amazing organization that we have supported wholeheartedly for years. AVDA’s mission is big: to promote violence-free relationships and social change by offering alternative choices to end violence and domestic abuse. Services include a 24 hour crisis hotline, emergency and transitional housing, advocacy, and counseling and support to all victims of domestic violence. Educational community programs are also part of the organization’s commitment to preventing violence.
Saturday, October 10 marks the 16th annual Race for Hope, AVDA’s biggest fundraising event of the year. Options include a 5K Run or Walk, a 10K Run, and a Kid’s 50 meter dash (ages 6 and under).
Whether you’re a bona fide athlete aiming for the 10K top three, a mall walker up for the challenge of a 5K walk outdoors, or a family looking for a fun weekend activity everyone can participate in, the Race for Hope offers a great opportunity to support a worthy cause.
Miller Physical Therapy is a proud race sponsor, and once again we’ll have a Miller team tearing up the course (okay, some of us run the entire course, some take it at an easy jog, and some walk – but we’re all in it together and we all love the challenge and the cause). You too can be on the Miller team, and we would love your support!
Just click on the link below to join Team Miller Physical Therapy. Thanks so much for your support of this great cause. We hope to see you in the cheering section on Saturday, if not on the race course!
Please support the Miller Teams fundraising efforts for this worthy cause.
